Contract Training Kit(This is the sixth in a series of blogs that addresses some of the most commonly held myths about contracting.)

The Myth: Direct (perm) recruiters only do direct (perm) placements.

The Truth: Many recruiters who previously only worked direct placements turned to contracting, not only to provide themselves with a steady cash flow, but also so they could become sole-source providers to their clients. When a client has a staffing need, they want to pick up the phone and know that the person/agency they call can fulfill their need, no matter what it is (direct placement, contract placement, temp-to-direct, temp-to-perm, etc.).
